Meyer Woods is a serene park located on Oldfield Road across from the Tara Hill subdivision. Nestled in an oak grove, this 8.70 acre park is the site of a barn built in 1913. Meyer Woods also has a playground and pavilion suitable for family or company picnics.
Holly Park is located north of 71st St. between Exner Road and Wilcox Avenue. This 4.57 acre park has a playground.
New play equipment was installed and the park is open. The old play equipment was donated to Kids Around the World, a not-for-profit organization that collects used playground equipment and redistributes it around the globe.
Ridgewood Park located at the corner of Green Valley Road and Lyman Avenue in the Farmingdale Ridge subdivision. This 6.35 acre neighborhood park features a playground.
Lindenwood park is home to a baseball backstop, basketball and a playground. This quiet neighborhood park is spread out over 6.5 acres. The park is located east of Cass Avenue and south of 79th Street. The parking lot is located on 79th St.
Darien Community Park, located at Plainfield and Clarendon Hills Roads is the second largest park maintained by the District. Encompassing 20 acres, this park features 2 picnic pavilions, 2 Half Basketball Courts, 1 Baseball Field (with lights), 2 playgrounds, 4 Pickleball Courts, 2 Tennis Courts, 1 Volleyball Court and restroom facilities.
Darien Community Park is also home to the VFW Memorial, paying tribute to all who have served in the Armed Forces.
The park was developed through a matching grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Birchwood park is located south of 71st Street between Walden Lane and Emerson Drive in the Farmingdale subdivision. This 9.18 acre neighborhood park features a playground. The path that winds through the park along the detention pond makes this park an ideal place for a relaxing walk.

In addition, in any body of water, harmful blue-green algae blooms are a common natural phenomenon. In Illinois, these natural harmful blooms typically occur June through September.
Due to this possibility, the following guidelines are strictly enforced for your safety:
Keep dogs out of the water. Do not allow dogs to drink the pond water
Do not come in contact with the water yourself
Wash skin or fur that comes into contact with the water thoroughly as soon as possible
Westwood Park is located at 75th and Fairview Avenue. This 18.90 acre site features 2 baseball diamonds and a soccer field.
Below are the final plans for Westwood Park redevelopment. Phase 1 plans include pickleball courts, band shelter, t-ball diamond, board walk with wetland improvements, new playground and more. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2026. The District was awarded a $600,000 OSLAD (Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development) grant from the State of Illinois to assist with funding the project.
The park and parking lot will be closed during construction, starting in April.
