Sportsplex

Darien Sportsplex is located in DuPage County, only 30 minutes from Chicago, minutes from I-55, I-355 and Route 83 (Kingery Highway) with easy access from main streets.

Darien Sportsplex is home to the Chicago Hawks Hockey Club, Chicago Edge Skating Academy, Chicago Empire FC, and several other local youth sports organizations.

The Sportsplex is owned and operated by the Darien Park District. The Darien Sportsplex is an Enterprise Fund, which means that the operating expenditures (including debt) are supported by the revenue that the facility generates. Property Tax dollars are not used to support Sportsplex operations.

Upcoming Closings

The Darien Sportsplex will be closed in observance of the holidays on the following dates:

  • Thursday, November 28
  • Tuesday, December 24 – close at 2:00pm
  • Wednesday, December 25
  • Tuesday, December 31 – close at 2:00pm
  • Wednesday, January 1, 2025

Darien Sportsplex facility contains:

  • Three National Hockey League sized ice surfaces
  • 60×30 yard turf indoor Fieldhouse
  • ECO Pro Shop – more information
  • Home of the SEASPAR Eagles Adult Program

Darien Sportsplex hosts a variety of special events including:

  • Big Bear Tournaments
  • 200×85/CCM Hockey Tournaments
  • Blackhawks Cup State Playoffs
  • CSDHL Playoffs
