OVERVIEW
Come join the only option for a quality recreational soccer program in Darien! The Darien Park District and Chicago Empire FC have put together a tremendous, year round, recreational youth soccer program that your child will love. By signing up with us your child will receive one training session and one small sided game each week. We believe that by decreasing the numbers on the field each player’s ball control, balance, agility, and decision making skills will improve along with the quality of the experience.
All teams will require a parent volunteer coach who will need to be present at all trainings and games. Practices will be run by Chicago Empire coaches who will guide volunteer coaches towards learning the techniques needed to develop their coaching skills.

2026 Instructional Session
Our instructional classes focus on soccer fundamentals in a fun, high-energy environment. Your young athlete will learn essential skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting through engaging games and age-appropriate drills. Beyond the ball, kids will build confidence, discover the value of teamwork, and develop a lifelong love for staying active. Whether stepping onto the pitch for the first time or looking to improve their game, our coaches ensure every child leaves smiling. Join us today and watch them grow!

2026 Session I
At the start of the session players will be placed on teams. All practices will be held on Fridays and games will be held on Sundays. Teams will be decided by the DSL staff.
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, 10/7
Evaluation Dates: Friday, 10/16, 5:00pm-6:00pm and Sunday, 10/18, 10:30am-11:30am
Session Dates: Friday, 10/16 – Sunday, 12/20
