Guidance on the Use of Masks
Following the latest guidance from the CDC and the State of Illinois, the Darien Park District has updated its face covering guidelines, effective immediately:
- Face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated adults using Darien Park District facilities and amenities. By participating in a Park District program or visiting a Park District facility without a face covering, you are verifying truthfully that you have been fully vaccinated.
- However, due to current guidelines, face masks are required for everyone in children’s programs and in all areas with children’s programs present, regardless of vaccination status.
- Patrons wishing to wear face coverings are welcome to do so, regardless of their vaccination status.
Regardless of vaccination status, please refrain from coming onto Park District property when you have signs or symptoms of COVID, including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
The District will continue to monitor, seek clarifications and adjust according to new guidelines established by the CDC, OSHA, EEOC, Illinois Governor’s Executive Orders, DCEO, IDPH, DuPage County Public Health, etc. as our area moves through the phases of the “Restore Illinois” Plan.
