Board Meetings

Regular Park District Board Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm at Darien City Hall, 1702 Plainfield Road.

Preschool

The Darien Park District First Step Preschool is a DCFS licensed preschool that offers a variety of classes for ages 2½-5 years old. All classes are offered at the Darien Park District Community Center in newly remodeled rooms.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE DARIEN PARK DISTRICT!
The Darien Park District would like to keep the parks and trails open for the community’s enjoyment during this unprecedented time. However, for your health and safety, it is CRUCIAL that you follow CDC recommendations for SOCIAL DISTANCING due to COVID-19. This means keeping a minimum 6-foot distance from others and limiting group gatherings to less than 10 people. We encourage you to enjoy fresh air and outdoor recreation through “dispersed recreation” by participating in outdoor activities AWAY from others. Parents, please communicate this to your children. PLEASE, NO DUMPING!
Our parks crew is working hard to continue trash pickup at our park sites. For the health and safety of our staff and residents, we ask the community to refrain from dumping household garbage at our park sites. If you see vandalism or dumping at our park sites please call 630-968-6400.

Phase 4 Reopening

Playgrounds are open with the following guidelines:
- No more than 50 persons on or at the playground.
- Users should follow social distancing guidelines and all other applicable IDPH Guidance.

Four ways to register for the programs:

  1. Online - If you have registered programs at the Darien Park District before, and you need your User ID and password, please email info@darienparks.com
    If this is your first time to register programs, more information
  2. Mail - Mail filled out, signed registration forms along with payment to:
    Darien Park District
    7301 Fairview Ave., Darien, IL 60561
  3. Drop-Off - Drop off completed Park District registration forms along with payment at the Darien Park District Community Center, 7301 Fairview Ave. A drop-box is located outside the main entrance. Please do not come into the facility to drop off registrations. They will not be processed immediately.  
  4. E-Mail - Send your registration form to info@darienparks.com

Once we process your registration, we will send you a confirmation. Please allow a few days for the processing of your registration. Thank you for your patience!
