Preschool Teacher’s Assistant

The Darien Park District’s First Step Preschool is currently seeking highly qualified applicants to join our staff for the 2021-22 school year. Candidates must be fun-loving, patient and enthusiastic with a desire to make a difference in a child’s life. Teacher’s assistant must have a high school diploma.
Requirements:

1. Experience with children
2. Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to get by start date)
3. Ability to work with young children and their families
4. Ability to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum
5. Ability to team teach
6. Excellent organizational skills
7. Punctual, reliable and able to multi-task
8. Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required
9. Must commit to staff meetings, special events and professional development (15 hours per year)
