Birthday Party Host

Darien Park District is hiring part-time birthday party hosts! This is a great position for students in high school or college, looking to gain experience in the work force. If you enjoy working in a fun and energetic environment, interacting with people, and have experience working with children, this role may be perfect for you. Join our team and be part of creating unforgettable moments for our guests!

Birthday Party Information:

• Parties are held at Darien Park District facility- 7301 Fairview Ave
• $14 per/hour
• Minimum age requirement: 16 years old
• Birthday Parties are held four times a month, averaging around 12 hours per month
• Parties are run on Friday’s from 5-7pm & Saturday’s from 11am-1pm
• Staff would be asked to work from 4:30pm-7:30pm on Fridays and 10:30am-1:30pm Saturdays
• 2 staff members per party, parties are usually around 20 people.
• 5 different themes/ activities for guests to choose from inflatable, arts & crafts, Glamour Girl, Nerf, and laser tag
• Parties are 2 hours long. 1 hour is the activity/ 1 hour is pizza & dessert

Responsibilities:
Engage and entertain guests at parties and events – Lead group activities and games – Ensure the safety of all guests, especially children, during activities – Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or issues raised by guests – Set up and clean party areas before and after events – Assist with food service and ensure guests’ dietary needs are met.
