Darien Garden Club

The Darien Garden Club is a friendly organization filled with fun people who enjoy gardening and want to learn more about their hobby. If you are interested in gardening, you are invited to visit us as a guest at any meeting. You will be greeted warmly and made welcome. Guest may attend two meetings prior to becoming a member. Membership is $30 annually.

Monday, May 1, 2017 - James Rowan - Don't Squash that Bug!
There are over a million species of insects and spiders on the planet with about 25,000 species in Illinois. In this program we'll meet some of them, learn how to distinguish them and separate some of the "good guys" from the "bad guys". James will bring reference note cards that will be available for purchase.

Monday, June 5, 2017 - National Garden Week
The Darien Garden Club is celebrating National Garden Week (June 4-10) by joining with Indian Prairie Public Library on June 5th to present Jack Pizzo speaking on "Native Plants". The talk will focus on gardening with native plants, how-to, benefits, where to obtain them, etc. It is FREE and is at 6:30pm for socializing and 7:00pm for the speaker.

Admission is free. All are welcome. Individual Registration requested.
