Darien Garden Club
The Darien Garden Club is a friendly organization filled with fun people who enjoy gardening and want to learn more about their hobby. If you are interested in gardening, you are invited to visit us as a guest at any meeting. You will be greeted warmly and made welcome. Guest may attend two meetings prior to becoming a member. Membership is $20 annually.

Tuesday, September 8
The September meeting of the Darien Garden Club will be held on Tuesday, September 8th (secondary to observance of Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 7th). We will have a plant exchange, Judi Doychak will present information on National Garden and Garden Clubs of Illinois schools, and Art Daigle will present on composting. To participate in the plant exchange, bring not more than three perennial plants, potted up in advance and labelled. Please secure a plastic bag beneath the pot to help keep our meeting room clean.
Monday, October 5
The Darien Garden Club will host Karen Thomson of Thomson Topiaries, L.L.C. This program will provide instruction on the steps of making a portable stuffed topiary. Karen will discuss frame selection, construction materials, plant selection and topiary care. Winter care, replanting and refurbishing older topiaries will also be discussed. The presenter will have topiaries, frames and moss available for purchase. Guests are welcome.

The program topic will be garden tool maintenance. Guests are welcome. (Further information pending.)
